Jo O’Donoghue
Jo O’Donoghue was born near Killarney in County Kerry and educated in UCC and TCD, where she did an M.Litt on the works of Belfast-born novelist Brian Moore. She has worked in publishing in Dublin since 1988, in Poolbeg, Attic, Mercier/Marino and Currach Press, establishing her own imprint, Londubh Books, in January 2010. Her publications include a critical monograph on Brian Moore (1990), Brewer’s Dictionary of Irish Phrase and Fable (with Sean McMahon, 2003) and New Horizons, a history of the St Louis Sisters (2012) Among her interests, in no particular order, are walking, dogs, houses, people, music, Irish, travel, placenames, history, reading, French, Paris and Spanish. She has two children who are third-level students and a Jack Russell called Pebbles.
