Tony Flannery

Tony Flannery was born in 1947 in Attymon, County Galway. He joined the Redemptorists in 1964, at the age of seventeen, and has worked for most of his life in Ireland, as a preacher of missions, novenas and retreats. A prolific author, he has published eight successful books – including From the Inside, The Death of Religious Life?, Keeping the Faith and Fragments of Reality – and wrote a regular column for Reality magazine until forbidden by Rome to do so. He lives in Athenry, County Galway.
