Arnold O’Byrne
Arnold O’Byrne, born in Ringsend, Dublin, joined General Motors in the UK as an accounts clerk and rose to become a senior executive. In 1985 he returned to Dublin as chairman and MD of Opel Ireland, a position he held until his retirement in 2000.
